Communing with nature can be the antidote to the chronic stress of living in today’s world, an environment that both demands our attention and lures us with distractions. It also can be restorative to both the mind and the body. It helps the mind shed the irritability and loss of concentration that comes with too many demands on attention. Similarly, it helps the body escape from the tension and heightened arousal that comes from the stress of daily life.
Ideally, the immersion or communing happens because of a real and physical experience with nature. However, that is not always possible and that is where this video series is helpful.
At five minutes these videos are long enough to provide a reprieve from stress and improve concentration. They are also long enough to exercise one’s ability to clear the mind and keep distractions at bay.
Real nature is always best but these videos are both handy and effective.
